The NEPAD Planning and Coordinating Agency invites applicants who are citizens of African Union Member States for the post of Policy Officer (Monitoring and Evaluation) in its new organizational structure.

Under the supervision of the Head, Strategic Planning, Knowledge Management and Monitoring and Evaluation the Policy Officer shall provide technical support and facilitate the regular monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of all projects and programmes. 

The Policy Officer will offer technical input and support in the development and production of strategic knowledge, documents and support networking activities with bilateral and multilateral partners.

Education and Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of first University Degree in Environmental Sciences, Social Sciences, Development Planning, Statistics, economics Development Studies.  A qualification in Programme/Project design and formulation, management and evaluation would be an added advantage. The Candidates must have at least five (5) years of relevant experience at the national or international level in monitoring and evaluation, including hands-on Experience in designing, monitoring and evaluation of developing projects and establishing relationships among partners.

Remuneration: Indicative basic salary of US$29,287.00 per annum plus other entitlements e.g. Post Adjustment (57% of basic salary), Housing allowance ($21,196.80 per annum), Pension (19% of basic salary) in conformity with the rules and procedures applicable to internationally recruited staff of the African Union.
