SADC Ministers for Agriculture and Food Security and Ministers of Health agree on strategies to increase food production

In an effort to address the challenges of food and nutrition security in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region, the a joint meeting of Ministers for Agriculture and Food Security and Ministers of Health in the region agreed on strategies to increase food production, food fortification and nutrition. Subsequently, the SADC Food and Nutrition Security Strategy was endorsed and adopted by the SADC Council of Ministers in August 2014.
