• Capacity Building: Two students from Lesotho at MSc level graduated through the IKS Node. Their research thesis focused on  possible domestication of Kei apple (Dovyalis caffra) HOOK F HARA using different propagation methods and Improving the management and productivity of dominant African indigenous leafy vegetables in the North West Province, South Africa 2012 Female Lesotho
  • The Secretariat visited Lesotho and the government together with stakeholder expressed their collaboration interest which includes fisheries, potato tissue culture and traditional medicines. Also expressed the need to have a way of accessing infrastructure in other nodes and countries on an acceptable model. Some of the challenges raised included brain drain, difficulties of accessing reagents not locally available and equipment
