Support was provided to fast-track the development of mariculture in Seychelles. Mariculture refers to the cultivation of marine plants, animals or organisms in sea water. Since fishing is among the most important sectors for the economy of Seychelles, developments in this sector will improve the sustainability and returns produced in the sector.
