Botswana launched the CAADP implementation process and is currently working towards signing the Compact; there is ongoing technical support to strengthen and integrate agriculture public expenditure findings into agriculture joint sector review processes

According to the CAADP Biennial Review Report, the country received 100% for evidence-based policies, supportive institutions and corresponding human resources; 100% inclusive institutionalized mechanism for mutual accountability and peer review. Further, wasting among children under 5 years currently stands at 3.6% prevalence; 14.2% of youth engaged in new job opportunities in agriculture value chains; and 7 agricultural commodity value chains for which a PPP is established with strong linkage to smallholder agriculture have been identified
