This Infrastructure Skills for Development program has entered a second phase, IS4D2, building on the successes of the pilot phase in which you were involved. IS4D2 will be holding a leadership skills short course 5-7 September, 2016. This short course will focus on exposing participants to some of the most important, and often neglected so-called soft, but critical, leadership skills that distinguish poor and mediocre leaders from extraordinary leaders. These skills include how to communicate better, how to advocate and persuade across different boundaries.
As an alumnus of the IS4D program, we are offering the opportunity for you to continue your professional development by attending this course, being held in Pretoria. This letter is to formally invite you to express interest in attending IS4D2’s Leadership Skills short course.
To express interest in participating in the short course, please submit a short justification for your attendance, consisting of no more than 500 words. Responses should include:
> Why you would like to attend the short course.
> How it would benefit you in your current role.
Please submit your expression of interest as an email attachment (either Word or PDF) to: Caitlin Poole Caitlin.Poole@cardno.com by COB Friday, 5 August, 2016.
We will notify you shortly after submission if your proposal has been selected. Following this, we will contact you to make the necessary logistical arrangements, the costs of which will be borne by IS4D.
We look forward to receiving your expression of interest.
