AU-3S Impact in Nigeria

-
Nigeria is one of the first countries involved in the AU-3S programme during the pilot phase, notably as it was an original entry point for COVAX and represents a significant share of the African population. The AU-3S team engages primarily with representatives from The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), working with Prof. Moji Adeyeye (Director General) and her team, as well as individuals from the national EPI. Here’s a glimpse into what select individuals from Nigeria have had to say about the AU-3S programme:
-
“AU-3S has opened the eyes of many of us to improve safety surveillance, and has already impacted positively on our PV system” – Moji Adeyeye, DG of Nigeria NAFDAC
-
“AU-3S helped to strengthen the relationship between the NRA and EPI for safety surveillance” – Uchenna Elemuwa, Deputy Director of PV/PMS for Nigeria NAFDAC
