Africa receives a greater share, at 36%, of total global aid than any other part of the world. Over the past four decades, aid to Africa has quadrupled from around US$11 billion to US$44 billion, with a net increase of almost US$10 billion between 2005-8.
This Policy Brief is a response to the theme of the 15th Ordinary Session of the Summit of the African Union, held in Kampala, Uganda. The title of the theme was, Maternal, Infant and Child Health and Development in Africa.
This document was developed to provide a broader overview on the NEPAD Education and Training sector activities, an Annual Report for 2009 based on the Projects / Activities, Progress and Future Prospects were compiled.
