Ten years since implementation in 2003, CAADP has enabled 40 African countries to sign CAADP compacts and 32 NAIPs have been drafted. This is the major achievement highlighted in the presentation by Janet Edeme, Head of Rural Economy Division for the Department of Rural Economy and Agriculture. The 2014 Malabo Commitments on Agriculture are described, with emphasis on the Malabo goals to be achieved by 2025, and the implementation strategy which outlines the strategic actions and activities for successful CAADP implementation at national, regional and continental level.
