PIDA Week is a flagship annual event organised under the Programme for Infrastructure Development in Africa (PIDA). The week brings essential stakeholders together to discuss, share insights, exhibit products and promote collaboration among many stakeholders, including governments, regional economic communities, development partners, investors, the private sectors, civil society and infrastructure developers. PIDA Week was inaugurated in 2015 and has since been a flagship event for PIDA.
Theme: Fostering Resilient and Inclusive Infrastructure for Africa’s Sustainable Growth: Leveraging Transformative Financing and Regional Integration.

The African Union Development Agency – NEPAD announces the open call for session proposals for the 8th PIDA week. The public, partners, and civil society are invited to submit a proposal for sessions that align with the overarching theme, addressing key challenges, sharing innovative solutions, and exploring opportunities for implementing PIDA projects and other cross-border infrastructure projects in Africa.
We seek proposals from the following sectors
- Transport and Logistics
- Energy and Power
- ICT and Digitalisation
- Water
- Capacity Building and Institutional strengthening
Session Formats: Session proposals can be in the following format but not limited to
- Panel Discussions
- Workshops
- Roundtable Dialogues
- Case study presentations.
