Review of Agricultural Technical Vocational _best practices.pdf

In comparison to the mainstream TVET systems, ATVET has received marginal support towards its development processes. Enhancing the capacity of agricultural vocational education is critical for African countries to meet agricultural production targets and reduce rural unemployment. The publication aims to highlight success factors of best practises in the ATVET systems of Benin, Ethiopia, Namibia and Sierra Leone.  Lessons learnt are drawn from the Songhai Training Centre in Benin, Farmer Training Centres in Ethiopia, Farmer’s Support Project in Namibia and the Smallholder Commercialisation Programme in Sierra Leone.
