The Africa Energy sector Phase 3 report presents the results for the Energy sector in the PIDA Study.  The main objective of the study is to investigate opportunities and areas where an integrated continental energy market can be created. Covered in the report are the power, domestic gas, and petroleum products sub-sectors.  This report provides a consolidated summary of the Energy Sector Outlook 2040, at both regional and continental level in Chapter 1. Recommendations regarding the institutional framework required to enable efficient implementation are discussed in chapter 2. Chapter 3 is an analysis of the PIDA Energy Infrastructure Investment Program, distinguishing between the short, medium and long term investments. The implementation strategy and processes for the PIDA Energy PAP in Chapter 4 includes a short term action plan for the period 2014 to 2020, the proposed monitoring process and role of society in this process.
